Work integrated learning

"The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives."
- Robert Maynard Hutchins, Educational philosopher

Education plays an essential role in economic development. Through the Hinrich Global Trade Leader Development Program, we sponsor education and careers for people who are committed to working in global trade.

Our scholarships and skills training create opportunities for bright scholars to develop trade careers with companies looking to develop future leaders for their firms. We take a very hands-on approach to this program, from personally identifying people keen on trade to providing jobs upon graduation.

Full scholarship

We offer full scholarships for students from Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, USA and mainland China. They study in Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand, the Philippines and the US.

International study: Our scholars study overseas, giving them international exposure critical to sensitizing them to other cultures.

100% support: The program covers all course fees & living costs while studying. For an overview of our partner institutions, click here.

Practical work experience between study periods

This approach aims to better align academic studies and practical skills training to enable scholars to develop a successful career as a global trade leader with Hinrich Foundation’s partner.

Trade careers

After receiving their scholarships and completing their studies, each scholar is provided with careers in export related companies and organizations.
